Ben has seen trends come and go. He’s watched too many builders cut corners, over-promise, and leave clients frustrated. That’s exactly why he decided to do things differently.
In 2025, after years of working for other companies, Ben knew it was time to build something of his own – a company founded on integrity, transparency, and genuine craftsmanship. A company where every project gets his personal attention and expertise.
Today, Ben leads Ockenden Group with the same hands-on approach he’s always believed in. He’s not just the owner – he’s on your job site, overseeing every detail, solving problems, and making sure your project is built right.

Ockenden Group was founded in February 2025 – but the story starts much earlier.
After decades of building for other companies, Ben had a clear vision: create a construction company where quality isn’t compromised, clients aren’t treated as transactions, and every project reflects genuine craftsmanship.
The Team:
In 2025, Ben’s wife Lynsey joined the business, bringing organizational excellence, client focus, and business acumen. Lynsey ensures every project runs smoothly, every client is kept informed, and every detail is managed with precision.
Their son Joel is continuing the family legacy. As an apprentice carpenter, Joel is learning the trade directly from his father – carrying forward decades of expertise and values into the next generation.
Together with our core team of skilled carpenters, experienced estimators, and dedicated administrators, we deliver every project with care, attention, and pride.
